   World
Environment Day is commemorated every year on June 5. It is
a time when the United Nations stimulates global awareness
of the environment and bolsters political attention and action.
In India, Prasad Chikitsa is hosting a World Environment Day
rally with participants from the villages of Ganeshpuri, Vajreshwari,
Akloli and Bhiwali in order to increase the community's environmental
awareness. In the Tansa region where these villages are located,
deforestation occurs at an alarming rate and sources of drinking
water run dry during the summer. Read

Tim Shera's first experience with PRASAD
was aboard the Muktananda Mobile Hospital in India in 1991.
He was very moved by his experience when he witnessed that "very

hospital visited their village." Inspired by his experience
in India, he decided to volunteer for PRASAD in the United States,
and was assigned to the Prevention Team of the Children's Dental
Health Program (CDHP). Tim finds it very fulfilling to support
PRASAD, and enjoys terrific camaraderie with the dental team.
