When
The PRASAD Project first began providing health care to
villagers in India's Tansa region, the impetus was to
treat and provide medication to sick people. Over the
years, the health care program has expanded and become
more refined. Presently, there are two branches: Preventative
and Village Health, which through education, nutrition
and early intervention, seeks to prevent disease and train
caretakers in local communities; and Medical, which continues
to address immediate medical needs.
